Remember to include your IRD number as a reference.

  • Paying electronically
    Internet banking with direct credit payments, paying using Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, setting up and making direct debit payments in myIR and using automatic payments with your bank.
  • Paying by phone
    You can make a debit or credit card payment using our self-service phoneline.
  • Paying from overseas
    Setting up and making direct debits in myIR, paying with Visa or Mastercard debit or credit cards, or making international money transfers with online services or through your bank.
  • Paying by instalments
    Instalment arrangements help you pay your tax or other programmes when you cannot pay amounts in full. You can propose an instalment arrangement with us. 
  • Paying at Westpac
    You can make a cash or EFTPOS payment at any Westpac branch or Westpac Smart ATM. You’ll need your return or statement barcode or you can create your own.
  • Paying by post
    Since 1 March 2026, we have stopped accepting payment by cheque. This means that you will not be able to pay us by post.
