Tut Exams results

With Tut Exams results, All examinations and other assessments are conducted in terms of the provision of the Higher Education Act, 1997 (Act No. 101 of 1997), and the Statutes of TUT, and in accordance with TUT’s rules and regulations. Student who do not comply with these rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action.

Examination Rules and Regulations Chapter 4​

We provide service and information to students regarding examination schedule, timetable​, enquiries (result enquiry​, re-mark, insight, re-check​) and special circumstances examinations (aegrotat​, special​​, exit). Students qualify for Supplementary examinations and cannot apply for such an examination.  

 

The two major examinations take place in June and November respectively. Examinations are held at different campuses and venues across the University and off site. Examination venues are communicated on individual timetables. Examination timetables should be collected on campus of regi​stration, on the date of publication of Predicate mark​. Or at the examination venue on the day of the examination.  ​​​

Examination Results

​Examination results will not be provided to any student either verbally or telephonically. Students may, however, obtain results by means of: 

  • Final examination results will be posted to all students. Please ensure that your postal details are correct. 
  • Supplementary as well as final examination results will be published, at the campus of your registration, on official notice boards. 
  • TUT’s electronic answering system on tel. 083 123 2777, and 
  • On TUT’s website at www.tut.ac.za​.

The examination results of a student with any outstanding fees and/or library material will not be published before the outstanding amount has been paid in full or the library material has been returned. However, supplementary examination results will still be published whether there are outstanding fees and/or library material.   

Result Enquiry

All examination enquiries should be made at Student Services, on the campus of your registration, or via email, within thirty (30) days of the publication of the results. Applications submitted, or emailed, after the closing date will NOT be considered, unless the prescribe penalty fee for late application is paid. 

The application is subjected to approval by the Registrar or his or her designate, based on the examination rules and regulations. 

Application form as well as proof of payment may be forwarded to the person responsible for your Faculty. Forms completed incorrectly or not completed in full will not be considered, please take your time to complete the form correctly.
