Yes, SFU looks at grade 11 marks for applications to all of its programs. However, the weight given to grade 11 marks varies depending on the program. For some programs, grade 11 marks may be considered more heavily than grade 12 marks.
For example, for the Bachelor of Science in Engineering program, grade 11 marks in English, mathematics, physics, and chemistry are considered more heavily than grade 12 marks. This is because these subjects are considered to be important prerequisites for the program.
For other programs, grade 11 marks may be considered less heavily than grade 12 marks. For example, for the Bachelor of Arts in Humanities program, grade 11 marks in any subject may be considered.
In general, SFU is looking for students who have a strong academic record. This means that you should have good grades in all of your subjects, not just the ones that are considered to be important for your chosen program.
In addition to grades, SFU also looks at other factors when making admissions decisions. These factors include:
- Your extracurricular activities
- Your letters of recommendation
- Your personal statement
