Celbux Account get BLOCKED if NSFAS has picked up unusual activity on your myNSFAS account and your NSFAS Wallet account. This could be changing of your cellphone number and requesting to reset your NSFAS Wallet password at the same time.

To unblock your myNSFAS Wallet, you need to:

  1. Log into your myNSFAS account
  2. Go to NSFAS Connect
  3. Create a case
  4. Submit a picture of your ID using a cell phone
  5. Provid your current cell number
  6. Indicate that your NSFAS Wallet is blocked

If you are unable to access your myNSFAS account to submit this requesr, you may send a request to NSFAS via their social media inbox (DM) or email.

How to Unblock (Unlock) My NSFAS Wallet Account

You need to have an existing myNSFAS portal account and NSFAS Wallet account, and ensure that your current cellphone number is saved in your myNSFAS portal.

  1. Dial *120*176# from the cellphone consisting of the cellphone number saved in your myNSFAS account
  2. Click the option ‘Unlock with OTP’
  3. A ‘One Time Pin’ (OTP) will be sent via SMS to the cellphone
  4. Type in the OPT and press enter
  5. You will received another notification stating that your account is unblocked.

How do I unblock my NSFAS wallet account using email?

Send NSFAS an email to unblock@nsfas.org.za for assistance. Make sure to provide the following in your email:

  1. A clear copy of your ID (if you have a Smart Card ID, send a copy of both sides)
  2. Your ID number in the email
  3. Cellphone number and email address
  4. Full names and surname
  5. Physical and/or postal address
  6. name of your TVET college
  7. A full description of your query.
