Sasol Bursary

The Sasol Bursary Programme is a performance-based, all-inclusive bursary aimed at supporting students pursuing full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in selected fields. Recipients of this bursary have a work-back/pay-back obligation, meaning they are required to work for Sasol upon graduation for a specified period.

Sasol Bursary Programmes

Sasol offers two types of bursaries:

1. Sasol Mainstream Bursary Programme

This programme supports students pursuing degrees (not diplomas) in engineering, science, and technology.

2. Sasol Foundation Bursary Programme

This bursary provides financial support to students pursuing STEM and non-STEM fields, including those from Sasol fence-line communities and Sasol employee families.

Sasol Bursary Benefits

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Sasol Bursary, applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Be currently registered or eligible for registration at a South African University or University of Technology
  • Have excellent academic results (Grade 11 or Grade 12 final marks required for new applicants)
  • Meet the minimum university entry requirements for their chosen field

Steps to Complete Your Application:

    • Click on Log In and select Register
    • Fill in the required details and create an account
  2. Complete the Online Application:
    • Log in with your new account
    • Click on Sasol Foundation Bursary application
    • Fill in all required details and upload necessary documents
    • Read and accept the disclaimer
    • Click Submit
  3. Check Application Status:

  • Incomplete or late applications will not be considered
