NIT Namibia 2025 Admission Criteria

To qualify for admission into NIT programs, applicants must meet one of the following general requirements:

  1. Standard Entry Requirements:
    • 25 points in Grade 12 (now Grade 11) in five subjects, including English (with at least a D symbol).
    • An accredited equivalent qualification at NQF Level 3 with the required credit value.
  2. Mature Age Entry:
    • Must be 23 years or older at the time of application.
    • At least five years of relevant work experience (with Grade 10 and an E in English) or three years of experience (with Grade 12 and an E in English).
    • A reference from a reputable employing organization.
    • Must pass an Aptitude Test with a minimum of 60%.

Additional Requirements for Specific Programs

  • Engineering Programs: A pass with an E or better in Physical Science and Mathematics.
  • Education, Training, and Health Programs: Specific entry requirements may apply.

International Applicants

International students must meet the above criteria and provide proof of five General Certificate of Education (GCSEs) at ordinary level, including Maths and English.
