Westpac Swift Code

The SWIFT Code for Westpac is WPACAU2S.

A SWIFT code or BIC (Bank Identifier Code) is used by banks around the world to transfer money. It’s made up of 8 to 11 characters.
 

You can find the SWIFT Code to your payee’s bank anytime you make an international payment online. Simply select the country and search for the SWIFT code by entering the name or city of the payee’s bank.

You’ll need a SWIFT code anytime you want to make an international payment from your Westpac account to an overseas account.

What’s the difference between a SWIFT Code and IBAN number?

An IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is a globally recognised sequence of letters and numbers used to process select cross border payments.

You’ll need an IBAN number for:

  • All Euro currency payments to Europe and the UK
  • Payments in any currency to Lebanon and Kuwait

Also known as ‘telegraphic transfers’, electronic transfers can be a fast, economical and secure way to receive electronic payments into your standard business transaction account1. The funds will arrive in your account as ‘cleared funds’, so you have immediate access, and with online banking1 you can monitor payments from your home or office.

Give your customers all the information they’ll need to make a payment, by including the following on your invoice:
 

  • Your name, trading name or company name
  • Business address (not a PO box)
  • Phone number (starting with +61)
  • Bank branch (BSB) number, account number and account name
  • Bank’s SWIFT code: Westpac’s SWIFT code is WPACAU2S.Use WPACAU2SXXX if 11 characters are required.
