GENERAL INFORMATION
APPLICATIONS
As much as we try to accommodate everyone where possible, the maximum number of delegates that can attend our courses is 15 per class, mainly due to seating availability. Therefore, to avoid disappointment we urge you to submit written application within 20 working days prior commencement of the course that you intend attending. The application form is attached at the back of the brochure and should be faxed after completion to the number indicated i.e. 012 428 6623, alternatively these can be scanned and e-mailed to training@sabs.co.za.
VERY IMPORTANT: Application forms should reach the Training Centre 20 working days prior to commencement of the course. Late applications will NOT be accepted. Â
REGISTRATIONS
After receipt of a completed application form, a quotation will be sent. On acceptance of this quotation, proof of acceptance should be returned accompanied by an authorised purchase order number (if the organisation has an account with SABS), alternatively proof of payment should be faxed through to SABS Training Centre. Confirmation of the booking will be sent to you upon receipt of all required information.Â
CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations of confirmed bookings must be received in writing at least 10 working days prior to commencement of the course. If not, a cancellation fee of 50% of the course fee will be deducted. Should a delegate not attend a course without providing prior notification for cancellation or postponement, then the full course fee will be payable.
Note: The SABS Training Centre reserves the right to cancel any course, but undertakes to inform all affected delegates as early as possible regarding such cancellations. There only reason that a course would be cancelled and/or postponed is due to insufficient number of delegates. Â
FEES AND PAYMENTS
All course fees are charged per person and per module (i.e. module 1 and 2 are charged separately). Course fees are indicated with and without VAT (Value Added Tax) to accommodate delegates from countries that are exempted from VAT.
Course fees are payable in full and in advance. Failure to provide proof of payment will lead to the delegate being refused entry to the course. Proof of payment must be submitted to the Course Administrator 10 working days prior to attendance of class. Payment can be done via electronic transfer, credit card or cash. (Bank details are available from the Course Administrators.) A 10% discount will be awarded where 3 or more delegates from the same organisation attend the same course at the same time and are paid for on the same date. (Not applicable to In-house courses where a separate quote will be issued for the presentation of that course.) Tax Invoice – Can only be provided upon receipt of an authorised purchase order number (if the organisation has an account with SABS), alternatively proof of payment should be submitted.
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements. As per request, we can assist by supplying contact numbers of guesthouses, hotels or bed and breakfast establishments in the vicinity.
COURSE PRESENTATION
Courses will be presented in English only. Special needs will, however be considered in line with our language policy, especially in cases where In-house courses are presented. 100% ATTENDANCE IS A REQUIREMENT. Courses are presented using a variety of training methods and techniques, and these include lectures, videos, assignments, handbooks and exercises. Group participation is encouraged throughout, as it enhances the learning experience. Where a course consists of more than one module, it is compulsory that the modules be done in sequence (i.e. Module 1 first and then Module 2).
Note: For ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007, the legal courses are strongly advised prior to Module 2.
All SABS Training Centre courses can be presented In-house i.e. SABS trainer(s) will be sent to present the training at your organisation. These training courses are customized to suit the client’s organisational requirements.
Only written requests for In-house training will be accepted and these should be accompanied by the client’s proposed training dates. A quotation will then be sent. On acceptance of this quotation, the client will be expected to provide a written acceptance of quotation with the purchase order number (if they have an account with SABS) alternatively, proof of payment prior commencement of the course.
To facilitate professional service and efficient planning, a client is requested to provide notification of where the training will be presented, FOUR WEEKS prior the agreed dates. In-house courses will be presented to a minimum of 10 and maximum of 20 delegates per session.
The client or organisation will be responsible for providing a suitable training room with audiovisual equipment and all necessary training tools (including projectors, flip charts etc.) as well as refreshments.
