How to register

Register on the Department of Health’s EVDS. This is mandatory. Based on your registration details, EVDS will issue you with your unique code when it is your turn to be vaccinated. Without this code, you won’t be eligible for vaccination. You can also register by dialling *134*832# or WhatsApp the word REGISTER to 0600 123456.

Registration for 12 years and older is open.

Registration and Booking

On-site Covid-19 & Flu vaccinations.

  • Dis-Chem is offering on-site Covid-19 and Flu vaccinations across South Africa.
  • A proposal will be sent with relevant information on the services that are offered.
  • Once your request has been approved, consent forms will be sent to be completed in advance by employees who are interested and eligible to receive the vaccine.
  • A date and time will be confirmed for the nurse(s) to visit your company to administer the vaccines.

You will need the following to register

  • Access to the internet
  • Your ID number, passport, an asylum seeker or refugee number
  • Your contact information, primarily a cellphone number
  • Your work or home address

SAHPRA has approved heterologous Covid-19 booster doses.

  • Patients who received a Johnson & Johnson vaccine as their first vaccine, can receive a Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine 60 days after the first dose. Another Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson booster vaccine can be administered 90-days after the second dose.
  • Patients who received a Pfizer vaccine as their first dose should receive a second Pfizer vaccine at least 21 days after the first dose. They will then be eligible to receive a Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine a minimum of 90 days after their second Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

  • Bookings are open to those who have pre-registered on the government’s Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS)
  • Please be sure to bring proof of identification and medical scheme membership details (if applicable) with you to the vaccination site.  Registered non-medical aid patients will also be assisted at our sites. 
  • Dis-Chem sites can accept a limited number of appointments from eligible people who have pre-registered on EVDS, depending on the availability of doses. 
  • The capacity to vaccinate at each site is dependant on the regular supply of vaccines, which is controlled by the National Department of Health. 
  • The number of vaccinations is dependant on the size of each site
  • We are taking walk-ins. 
  • PLEASE NOTE: Vaccination sites are closed on Public Holidays.
