Simon Baloyi assumed the role of CEO of Sasol Limited on April 1, 2024, bringing over two decades of experience within the company. His journey with Sasol began in 2002 as a bursar, and he has since held various key positions, including his 2022 appointment to the Group Executive Committee as Executive Vice President of Energy Operations and Technology.
Baloyi’s academic background includes a degree in chemical engineering and an engineering management degree. He has also completed the INSEAD Management Programme and the Leading Global Businesses Programme, equipping him with a robust foundation for leadership.
Known for his emphasis on safety, customer-centricity, high performance, and care, Baloyi prioritizes people, safe operations, and the restoration of baseline business performance. He is passionate about sustainable business practices and delivering shared value.
