The University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa has specific deadlines for applications. For undergraduate study at UCT in 2025, the closing date is 31 July 2024, but the extension is to midnight SAST on Friday, 4 August 2024. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
For postgraduate studies, the closing dates vary depending on the faculty or program. You can check the 2024 Directions for Postgraduate Applicants for faculty- or program-specific closing dates.
If you have submitted a late application, you can check the status of your application by logging into the UCT Student Portal or Website. From the applicant or student homepage, select the Admission Link, then click the ‘View Application Status’ link.
Please note that paying an application fee does not guarantee that your application will be successful. The application fee may be paid by cash, credit card, direct bank deposit, or electronic funds transfer (EFT). UCT graduates are exempt from paying an application fee, except in the case of Graduate School of Business (GSB) qualifications.
