SPU Returning students

Returning students at Sol Plaatje University (SPU) in South Africa have a streamlined online registration process to follow for this academic year. To register, students must access the SPU Integrated Tertiary Software (ITS) Student iEnabler System using their student number and a unique PIN sent to their email. This system enables easy registration, ensuring students can complete the process without needing to visit the campus.

There are important financial considerations for returning students. Self-funded or unfunded students are required to make upfront payments of R6,000 for tuition and an additional R6,000 if they are residing on campus. If students cannot meet this requirement, they can submit a motivation letter to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Committee to request alternative arrangements.

Students with outstanding fees can also register under specific conditions. For instance, if they owe between R50,000 and R100,000, they need to make a minimum payment of R6,000 and submit an Acknowledgement of Debt (AOD) form to the Financial Aid Office. Those owing more than R100,000 must pay a minimum of R12,000 before registration.

SPU’s process aims to be as flexible as possible, offering support for those who may face financial difficulties. Returning students can contact the Financial Aid Office for guidance if needed
