With Payfast, as every time you accept a payment, we charge an all-in fee for each successfully completed transaction. Because we charge per transaction, you only ever pay for what you use. There are no setup, monthly or hidden fees; you don’t even need a merchant bank account to get paid. Enable any of our features at no additional cost.
PayFast only charges per transaction fees. There are no monthly fees and no signup or setup fees whatsoever.

Flat payout fee
Each time you request money to be sent from your PayFast account to your bank account, we charge a payout fee of R8.70 excluding VAT, regardless of the value of the payout.
Merchant refund
You can quickly and conveniently refund your customers who paid using credit/cheque cards and Instant EFTs via the dashboard. All other refunds can be processed by contacting our Support Team. As from 1 October 2026, each refund will have a fee of R2.00 excluding VAT.
