You can get a linking code over the phone or at a service centre. To link one of these services to your myGov account, you’ll need your linking code and any of these: your Centrelink Customer Reference Number (CRN) your Medicare card number.

Step 1: create an account. Go to myGov and select Create a MyGov account.
Step 2: agree to terms of use. Read the Terms of use.
Step 3: enter an email address.
Step 4: enter your mobile number.
Step 5: create password.
Step 6: create secret questions.
Step 7: use your myGov account.
Manage your Centrelink payment
If you get a payment, you’ll have some regular commitments you need to meet. If you don’t, your payment may stop.
Report your income
If you get an income support payment such as JobSeeker Payment, you need to report your and your partner’s income.
To get your first payment, you’ll need to report your income for the past 2 weeks. You won’t get your payment until you do this. There’ll be a reporting task for you to complete in either:
- your Centrelink online account through myGov
- the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app.
You need to continue to report every fortnight, even if your and your partner’s income is zero.
