Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), nestled in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, is a beacon of transformation and innovation. Established in 1979 with just 15 students, MUT was founded by Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi to empower the disenfranchised. Minimum Entrance Requirements

To join MUT, prospective students must meet specific academic criteria:

  • National Senior Certificate (NSC): Diploma pass or N3 with a 50% pass in Mathematics and English.
  • Minimum Subject Levels:
    • Diploma study: Level 4 in five subjects.
    • Access Courses: Level 3 in relevant subjects.
  • English: Home Language or First Additional Language, Level 4 pass.
  • Points Calculation: Based on NSC levels and grades, as detailed in the CAO handbook.
