Is SSC Exam Tough?

Actually every exam need some aptitude and if one have not this he can be master of it by perseverance and practise a lot

Respond to your question see SSC CGL is not that tough as some people would told you, believe me a just average student who doesn’t have science background can easily crack this exam, but some of the strategy or tips you must be followed

  1. Away from friends and group studies, they only exhausted and waste your time nothing else , do friendship with only few who you think they really help in your preparation
  2. Before any exam preparation a overview of syllabus and previous years papers helps a lot so purchase some genuine and authentic book(LIST ARE GIVEN BELOW:)
  3. QUANT : if you are so weak in quant then plss go through NCERT OF CLASS 8,9 and 10 believe me no one can teach you better than ncert.only solved example and maxim are important ( believe me as a graduate student we can easily tackle ncert). RD SHARMA of class 9,10 is now very crucial for lot of practise to get rid off basics. Change scenario of tier-2 demands good grasp over basics so above these books are panacea for quant. Previous year papers of last 10 years of both tier 1 and 2 is must. Do mocks on regular basis and improve mental calculation and approach to some trick question that will really boost your confidence to secure good marks in quant.
  4. English: English is a language hence no one can master it , most aspirant have English phobia because they treat it like quant. For English you have to develop some interest and passion otherwise English will be a Herculean task, to develop taste in English you have to good command over vocab (NOT ALL VOCAB PAST YEAR VOCAB AND NEWSPAPER VOCAB IS MORE THAN sufficient).daily give 35–40 min time to newspaper and note down the difficult meanings, idiom and sentence structure . at least revise 10 vocab each of one word, idiom ,synonym and antonym.don’t try to cram just understand through some innovation and usage. Give daily quizzes and mini mocks of sscadda, gradeup, testbook. Keep a good command over reading section and grammar because it constitute nearly 80–85% portion of English. Give special emphasis to cloze test, pata jumbles, error part, and narration -voice. STUDY MATERIAL: PLINTH TO PARAMOUNT OR OBJECTIVE GENERAL ENGLISH BY SP BAKSHI for grammar. WORD POWER MADE EASY, daily the Hindu vocab, previous years vocab and mb books for all vocab. and most important do minimum 3–4 timesMB PREVIOUS YEARS PAPERS(old wali book-ie 133 sets).
  5. GS: don’t PhD over GS this is not civil exam , just see pattern of GS you find SSC ask only specific set of questions like they ask question related to daily life and application in science , art and culture from history etc thus the best way to prepare GS is to study through last years papers you may take KIRAN CHAPTER WISE(English medium) or GHATNA CHAKRA(Hindi medium) .it is must and do SSC ADDA mini test daily and note down imp.question from mocks.
  6. Reasoning: don’t waste much time , this is the most easiest and scoring section and one have to do only solve question of past years or of mocks. You may take kiran chapter wise reasoning book.
  7. MOCKS: believe me this is the are which aspirant don’t understand what’s the importance of mocks . if you don’t complete your syllabus don’t worry just do mocks and go through all question learn from them and evaluation of mocks is mandatory .you must to do this and there are plenty of option in mocks. There are many resources like testbook, qmaths ,,sctube ,kd, top rankers. Subscribe a good paid series and give all free test series of various sites and a minimum 50 mocks before tier 1 helps to a edge over others.
  8. Best of luck! Believe in yourself and don’t forget to remember “REVISION IS THE KEY” and be doing your study with perseverance.
