How many people get waitlisted at Carleton?

Carleton University does not release official waitlist statistics. However, based on anecdotal evidence, it is estimated that anywhere from 10% to 20% of applicants to Carleton’s most competitive programs are waitlisted each year.

The waitlist process at Carleton is competitive, and there is no guarantee that students who are waitlisted will eventually be admitted. However, there are a few things that students can do to increase their chances of being admitted off the waitlist, such as:

  • Submitting a strong letter of interest to the admissions committee
  • Maintaining a high GPA in their current coursework
  • Participating in extracurricular activities that demonstrate their academic achievement and leadership potential
  • Keeping the admissions committee updated on any significant developments in their academic or personal life

Carleton University is a highly respected institution with a strong academic reputation. As a result, the admissions process is competitive, and students who are waitlisted should not be discouraged. By taking the steps outlined above, students can increase their chances of being admitted off the waitlist and pursuing their education at Carleton University.
