- up to 50% non-repayable rebate on the cost of capital expenditure in the form of tools, machinery and equipment
- up to 70% non-repayable rebate on the implementation of services that will enhance your business and/or manufacturing processes
- access to finance for working capital from the IDC at a preferential interest rate as low as 4%
Examples of how the MCEP can be used for your business:
Bakery
A bakery could require an upgrade of existing equipment or the purchase of new equipment. They could qualify for a rebate as follows:
up to 50% back on the cost of:
- Ovens,mixers,
- production line,
- pastry sheeters,
- and all items related to the baking process of either bread or other related items
up to 70% back on the cost of:
- implementation of industry standards such as:
- HACCP,
- SABS or
- ISO 90001 certification
- implementation of computer technology and software used in the automation and improvement of the product process

As a manufacturer of items such as door frames, window frames, parts and components used in your industry machinery plays a vital role in your production process. They could qualify for a rebate as follows:
