1. National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Programs
Coastal KZN TVET College offers National Certificate Vocational (NCV) programs at levels 2, 3, and 4, aligning with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). These programs provide students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed for various career paths.
Course Details:
- Level: 2, 3, and 4
- Subjects: 7 subjects per level
- Duration: 1 year per level
- Entry Requirements: Grade 9 or higher

2. Nated Programmes (Report-191)
Coastal KZN TVET College also offers Nated (Report-191) programs in Engineering and Business Studies. These programs are quality-assured by Umalusi and are recognized by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
Engineering Studies:
- Entry Requirements: N3 or Grade 12 with Maths, Physical Science, or Technical Drawing (minimum pass rate of 40%).
- Duration: Courses are offered in trimesters (3 months per level).
- Registration: Open in January, May, and August.
Business Studies:
- Entry Requirements: N3 or Grade 12.
- Duration: Semester courses (6 months per level).
- Registration: Open in January and June.
Once students complete their N6 qualification in a specific field, they can earn a National Diploma (M+3) after completing the required in-service training—18 months for Business Studies and 24 months for Engineering Studies.
3. Skills Programmes
Coastal KZN TVET College also offers a wide range of Skills Programmes. These are mainly practical-based programs that provide certification upon successful completion. The programs are designed to enhance specific skills that meet industry demands, ensuring that graduates are job-ready.
