The application to study at the University of Pretoria in 2026 is completely online.
Applications for admission to undergraduate programs for South African and international citizens close on a specific date in the year prior to the academic year. Review the list of application deadlines below and submit your application on time. To use the online application system, you will need Internet access and an email address that you can access regularly. As soon as you submit your online application, your enrollment number (EMPLID) will be sent to this email address as confirmation. I have sent the receipt.
The closing date for all selection programmes is 30 June 2026.
There is no set closing date for applications for non-selection programmes for 2026. Admission will be based on the availability of places. When the
available number of places for a specific programme have been filled, the programme will be closed for further applications.
Applicants are therefore strongly advised and encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible after 1 April 2026.
University of Pretoria(UP) Online Application
The Online Application System is intended for use by new prospective students submitting an application to UP for the first time. It is not intended for students presently registered at the University of Pretoria.
To use the Online Application System you will need the following:
- internet access
- an email address which you can access regularly, because as soon as you submit your online application, a student number (EMPLID) will be sent to this email address as confirmation of receipt.
