Is Rand Water a government entity?

YES, Rand Water is owned and controlled by the South African State. The Current Chief Executive officer for Rand Water is Mr. Percy Sechemane.

Rand Water Head Office is based in Glenvista, Johannesburg, South Africa. Two large pumping and purification stations at Vereeniging and Zuikerbosch; Four main booster stations at Zwartkopjes, Palmiet, Mapleton, and Eikenhot.

We operate thirteen tertiary pumping stations and 56 enclosed reservoirs and secondary booster stations; as well as a multi-billion Rand regional pipeline network of approximately 3 500 km.
